First Use of a CDRW

Insert the CDRW into your computer. When the dialog box appears:
1. Choose "Disk Utility" from the drop-down menu.
2. Click on OK.

Disk Utilility appears showing your hard drive and the CD drive.

On the left side of the screen click once on your CD/DVD drive (your drive name may differ, just look for the one with the CD icon).

Once you select the CD drive, you should see this screen on the right hand side of the window.

Click on the Erase button to format the CD.

Click "Erase" again to confirm that you want to format the CD.

1. Choose "Open Finder" from the drop-down menu.
2. Click OK.

The CD will appear on the desktop as an "Untitled CD"
